Superior Heat Dissipation and High Energy Density are Achieved

AESC cells for EV applications are formed by stacking cathodes, anodes and separators and then packing them in a laminate package. The cells are sheet-like shape with a dimension of 261mm × 216mm. Another characteristic of AESC cells is the excellent heat dissipation that results from the laminates structure with larger surface area.

Vehicle Tailored Designs are Possible

A "pack" is formed by connecting multiple "modules" and sensors via electrical interface with a controller and then mounting the components in a case, which is designed for each vehicle requested.
AESC modules can be mounted in both vertical and horizontal configuration. So, the pack can be designed as an effectual shape in order to fit properly to the under floor of each vehicle requested.

Composition

Voltage, temperature, and such as battery state information are always monitored by BMS (Battery Management System). The data of battery is sent from BMS to vehicle control unit via CAN (Controller Area Network), and by using those battery information, vehicle can keep the battery adequate condition.
